Day 1: Arrival in the Karlovy
Vary (Karlsbad) area.
Tour to Loket (Elbogen) where Goethe celebrated his 74th birthday
- one of the mightiest Gothic fortresses in Bohemia. Continue
to Maria Kulm, a place of pilgrimmage. |
Day 2: Today you will visit Karlovy Vary,
- Goethe’s favourite spa. Tour of the spa ressort, ascend
to the
Diana-Tower by cableway and enjoy the view of the spa. Visit
a glass manufactury - a craft typical for this region - and
the Becher Works, where the famous liquer Becherovka (Karlsbader
Becherbitter) is produced.
Tasting. Round off this exciting day with a stroll through the
colonnades. |

Day 3: Visit Tepla
with its Monastery of the Prämonstratenser Order, continue
to Marianske Lazne (Marienbad), the second spa town. Tour of
the centre including the Singing Fountain and Goethe Museum.
Drive to Cheb (Eger) with its large town square and castle. |
Day 4: Travel to Frantiskovy
Lazne (Franzensbad),
the third spa ressort. Visit the Goethe Memorial and stroll
through the parks. |
Day 5: Departure or further programme.
Changes of the programme are not intended. However, they cannot be excluded despite maximal care during preparation! |
